Weekend Activities

Spanning 130 acres of scenic grounds, the campus features a 9-hole golf course and indoor pool alongside its sports hall and gymnastics complex. Boarders can spend weekends at day students’ homes with parental permission, which helps friendships develop beyond the classroom. They celebrate birthdays together and organize sleepovers.

Getting Around from Embley School

The location offers easy access to diverse attractions. Excursion programmes take students to Winchester, Stonehenge, Bath, and Oxford, while they also cycle through the New Forest, visit beaches, play paintball, and try skating. Popular outings include the Harry Potter world, cinema trips, and shopping in Southampton or along London’s Oxford Street.

Daily Schedule at Embley School

Each day follows a structured routine. After returning at 16:00, boarders attend clubs before gathering for dinner at 18:00 and evening assembly. Homework sessions run from 18:45 to 19:45 for younger students, extending to 20:15 for older ones. Evening activities—cooking, crafts, board games, and films—continue until bedtime, which varies by age. Mornings begin with breakfast at 8:00.
